NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE

GOVERNING BODY OF

THE CITY OF HAMLIN, TEXAS

 

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A REGULAR CALLED MEETING OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE ABOVE-NAMED CITY WILL BE HELD ON THE 18th OF AUGUST 2025 AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE HAMLIN INDEPENDENT COLLEGIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, 250 SW AVENUE F, HAMLIN, JONES COUNTY, TEXAS AT WHICH TIME THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS WILL BE DISCUSSED:

 

I.         Call Meeting to order, Invocation and Pledges.

 

II.     Roll Call

 

      III. Open Forum-Person who sign in between 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM will be allowed not more than five minutes each to speak to the Council.

      *General comments from visitors who have signed up to address the Council.

 

IV. Visitors with appointments:

 

V.  ACTION ITEMS

 

1.      Take appropriate action on the minutes from the Special Meeting held on August 5, 2025.

 

2.      Consider and take any necessary action on MD Health Pathways telehealth program.

 

3.      Consider and take any necessary action on changing the City Council Meetings from 7:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

 

4.      Consider and take any necessary action on purchasing a Vacuum Excavator Trailer from Kinloch.

 

5.      Consider and take any necessary action on purchasing a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab from Holiday Autogroup.

 

6.      Consider and take any necessary action on adopting Resolution 25-006, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HAMLIN, TEXAS, ADOPTING A PROCUREMENT POLICY IN RELATION TO FEDERAL GRANTS.

 

7.      Consider and take any necessary action on adopting Resolution 25-007, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HAMLIN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS GENERAL LAND OFFICE (GLO) FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT – MITIGATION (CDBG-MIT) PROGRAM; AND AUTHORIZING CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO ACT AS THE CITY’S EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE IN ALL MATTERS PERTAINING TO THE CITY’S PARTICIPATION IN THE CDBG-MIT PROGRAM.

       I, the undersigned authority, do certify that the above named notice Meeting of the Governing                        Body of the above named City of Hamlin is a true and correct copy of said Notice and that I posted a true and correct of said Notice on the bulletin board in the Police Department and on the front door of City Hall of said City of Hamlin, Texas, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times and said Notice was posted on September 15, 2024 at 4:00 PM and remained posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said meeting.
