NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE
GOVERNING BODY OF
THE CITY OF HAMLIN, TEXAS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A REGULAR CALLED MEETING OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE ABOVE-NAMED CITY WILL BE HELD ON THE 20th DAY OF JANUARY, 2026, AT 6:00 P.M. IN THE HAMLIN INDEPENDENT COLLEGIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, 250 SW AVENUE F, HAMLIN, JONES COUNTY, TEXAS AT WHICH TIME THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS WILL BE DISCUSSED:
AGENDA
I. Call Meeting to order, Invocation and Pledges.
II. Roll Call
III. Open Forum-Person who sign in between 5:30 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. will be allowed not more than five minutes each to speak to the Council.
*General comments from visitors who have signed in to address the Council.
*Citizens Comments and Receipt of Petitions (At this time, anyone may speak on any matter other than personnel matters or matters under litigation for a length of time not to exceed five (5) minutes. (No council/board discussion or action can take place on any matter until such matter has been placed on an agenda and posted in accordance with the law).
V. ACTION ITEMS
1. Take appropriate action on the minutes from the previous Regular Meeting on December 15, 2025.
2. Consider and take any necessary action on Order of Election for a Regular Election on May 2, 2026, for electing two (2) council members and electing one (1) mayor.
3. Consider and take any necessary action to change the date to accept sealed bids on the decommissioned tanker.
4. Consider and take any necessary action to allow use of the bank’s night deposit for daily deposits.
5. Consider and take any necessary action on the allocation of the over deposits in the debt service fund.
6. Consider and take any necessary action on the appointment/hiring of a court clerk.
7. Discuss and take any necessary action on selling water to commercial sites and projects.
8. Discussion on the quarterly budget review.

I, the undersigned authority, do certify that the above named notice Meeting of the Governing Body of the above named City of Hamlin is a true and correct copy of said Notice and that I posted a true and correct of said Notice on the bulletin board in the Police Department and on the front door of City Hall of said City of Hamlin, Texas, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times and said Notice was posted on January 13, at 4:00 PM and remained posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said meeting.
