How the Bidding Process Works
Properties available for bid are listed below along with the applicable bidding information and requirements. Interested parties should carefully review the Property Bid Sheet before submitting a bid.
To participate in the bidding process:
Review Available Properties
Review the properties currently offered for bidding and determine which property or properties you are interested in purchasing.
Review the Bidding Requirements
Carefully read the attached bidding information, including all eligibility requirements, deadlines, required documentation, minimum bid requirements, and terms and conditions of the sale.
Submit Your Bid
Complete and submit your bid according to the instructions outlined in the bidding documents. Bids must be received by the stated deadline to be considered.
Bid Review
Following the submission deadline, the Hamlin MDD will review all properly submitted bids in accordance with the established bidding procedures.
Selection and Approval
The Hamlin MDD will determine the successful bid in accordance with the applicable requirements and procedures. Submission of a bid does not guarantee acceptance or create an obligation for the District to accept any particular bid.
Closing and Transfer
Once a bid has been selected and all required approvals and conditions have been satisfied, the successful bidder will be contacted regarding the next steps for completing the purchase and transfer of the property.
Municipal Development District — Available Properties
The Hamlin Municipal Development District (MDD) offers select properties owned by the District for public bidding. These properties are made available to encourage responsible development, promote economic growth, and support the continued improvement of the Hamlin community.
Important Information
Prospective bidders are responsible for conducting their own due diligence regarding any property before submitting a bid. This may include reviewing property condition, zoning, utilities, access, title, restrictions, and any other factors that may affect the property’s use or value.
